Import Product Database Into PowerCommerce

By default, you can enter new products individually through the PowerCommerce software tools. For merchants with 100s or 1000s of products, it can be less time consuming to import one database file containing most of the product information.

This can be done by creating a tab-delimited text file of the product information, including the following fields of data:

Item_SKU
Item_Name
Item_BasePrice
Item_Description
Item_Weight
Item_Length
Item_Height
Item_Width

The file can be uploaded through the PowerSoftCart area of PowerCommerce, by selecting the "Item Data Import" link. Once the initial data has been imported, you can edit products individually to define specific attributes, discounts, category assignment, and other details.
