How do I announce my new website to search engines?
We recommend you consider submitting your website url to a few of the top search engines and directories, including the Open Directory Project (DMOZ), Google, and Inktomi. These three resources fuel many other popular search tools, such as MSN and Yahoo!. Some search engines/directories may charge an annual or semi-annual fee for listing; contact each provider's website for specific pricing.
